We got the keys to our 1,860 sq. ft. home on August 1, 2019. Our home is a constant work-in-progress, and we are so glad we get to share it with you!
There's a good sized loft space at the top of the stairs that we've set up as a bonus TV room. However, this space will eventually get a complete overhaul! We have yet to paint the walls or do baseboards in here so stay tuned for some fun content to come!
Our main bedroom is to the left right at the top of the stairs. We've painted all the walls (including the black back wall) and are currently in the process of renovating it fully! You can find our plans here. We've just finished installing frame moulding on one wall (two more to go!)
Our guest bedroom is one of my favorite rooms in the house! We painted the walls "Polar Bear" by Behr and built this DIY wood slat headboard for it. I also built a peg rail for additional hanging storage, and installed a new light fixture.
Our front door opens up to the dining room on the right and the living room straight ahead. We added some much-needed character here with a black vertical shiplap.
This was a simple transformation with some paint and a new light fixture. I DIY'ed a plant propagation station for the centerpiece. We've got some fun designs planned for this space in the future!
We painted all the walls white before moving in, installed all new light fixtures, and hung up my beloved swing chair! We used the same furniture we had in our previous apartment but plan on upgrading to some larger-scale pieces in the future.
We renovated the kitchen in February/March 2020. It's not quite finished but you can see all the progress we've made here. We installed new flooring, built an island, painting cabinets, installed new countertops, lighting, appliance and sink/faucet. You won't believe the transformation!
The first room we tackled when we moved in was the downstairs half bath. With some new flooring, paint, new sink, mirror, lighting and toilet...it's a whole new space. This was done completely on a budget and you can see the full breakdown here.
The downstairs is set up kind of in one big circle around the stairs. The garage door is through the dining room on the right when you walk in. This little wall in front of the garage door was sad and dark until I DIY'd this shiplap wall and watercolor painting to give it some more character and love.
