My Favorite Home Decor + DIY Accounts

Who you surround yourself with online can make or break your experience with social media. Since I’ve started the Campbell House Instagram account, I’ve discovered a whole community of badass creatives, inspiring artists, and uplifting people who I now consider friends. The positive voices I’ve surrounded myself with are a whole lot louder than the negative ones. I can honestly say that I feel good after spending time on Instagram. The comparison game can get old real quick, so it’s important to find people that inspire, empower, and uplift you. Consider them the “meat and potatoes” of Instagram. Today, in the spirit of spreading the love and inspiration, I’m sharing my favorite home decor and DIY Instagram accounts.

1. Lacy from @livingawilderlife

There’s a whole lot I could say about Lacy. She is real, raw, honest and encourages people to find beauty in every aspect of their lives. She’s a mother of two living through a big, long-term renovation who manages to capture the most beautiful moments amidst the mess of life. Her bio reads “It’s OK to be under construction in your home and in your life.” She uses her platform to celebrate imperfection. Bonus: her work and home are absolutely stunning. I find myself constantly visiting her account for design inspiration.

2. Jenna from @cozy.happy.home

Jenna has been a constant source of encouragement from the moment I followed her. She is kind, supportive, and SO good at styling. Her home is beautiful and full of all the coziest vibes. She pours her heart into everything and it’s so very clear. Everything she shares is always beautiful, budget friendly and true to her style–which I love! Jenna, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU for being you. Thank you for inspiring me, encouraging me and empowering me to keep showing up.

3. Deema from @prettyonfridays

If you’re not following Deema, you’re wrong. She is witty, fun, creative, and despite her tough exterior, she has a heart of gold. Her love for art and sense of humor is unmatched, and she’s not afraid to talk about what really matters. She is the first to share a family in need, small accounts you’ll fall in love with, and talented artists (like Kesia Finley). If I was to describe her design style in one word, it would be “soulful.” She creates with intention, and her home is the perfect example of that.

4. Emily from @mylushabode

I originally discovered Emily while I was starting my kitchen renovation. I had my heart set on a green kitchen with butcher block counters and Emily has that exact combo and I fell in love! Emily is truly the most genuine, joyful, real person and I am so grateful for her. She is a light in the DIY/Home Decor community and everything she creates is just beautiful (and honestly so impressive).

5. Christine from @forthehome

Okay so maybe Christine doesn’t know I exist but I admire her so much. She is so skilled at creating beautiful, inspiring, and unique spaces. I sang her praises in a previous blog post you can check out here. Her stories are a breath of fresh air and her account feels like a creative vacation. Every single piece of content she creates is worth your time.

6. Elisha from @ouraesthetic_abode

I truly consider Elisha a friend and know that if I was ever in her neighborhood, I’d be stopping by for a cocktail and homemade ice cream. She is a great resource for DIY, home decor, recipes, and so much more. She can literally do anything. She’s such a positive force and her content is so intentional.

So there you have it! These ladies top my list of favorite home decor + DIY accounts. They inspire me and use their voices to spread positivity and I think that’s worth sharing and celebrating.
