Have you seen that Wayfair commercial where the girl tells Kelly Clarkson that she has “champagne taste on a hard seltzer budget?” Well, I’ve never related to anything more. When we moved out of our first house and turned it into an Airbnb, we left everything behind. From the coffee maker to the bath towels, everything we owned was left for our renters. On one hand, I loved starting fresh and having the opportunity to source things for our home that I loved. On the other hand, furnishing an entire home isn’t cheap. So in addition to scouring Facebook Marketplace, I’ve been compiling a list of home pieces that I love, but that still fit into my “hard seltzer” budget. Consider this the first post in a series featuring my favorite affordable finds for every room, starting with the living room.
Sourcing a coffee table for our new place was harder than I anticipated. You see, I’m a grown-up now, and grown-ups shouldn’t settle for particle board coffee tables. Glass is out of the question too since my idea of a nighttime routine doesn’t involve a round of dusting. I’m a respectable, 27 yr old, solid-wood furniture gal…on a hard seltzer budget. So here’s a few of my favorite coffee tables that fit the bill.
