One of my favorite ways to transform a room (besides paint) is to update the lighting. When we moved into the house the fixtures left something to be desired… big time. We’re talking mismatched, cobwebbed ceiling fans, bronze shell flush lights and weird shaded chandeliers (is this going to give you nightmares?). Yikes. Note: While swapping out a lighting fixture might seem intimidating, I promise it is a simple, easy process. You can even do this in a rental and just swap it back when your lease is up! Here is an easy tutorial video on how to swap out lighting. ALWAYS remember to shut off the power!
